An elected Dutton Liberal Government has committed $200,000 to upgrade amenities for the 1st Appin Scout Group.
This commitment will see the installation of new lavatories and shower facilities, for boys and girls, at Appin Scout Hall.
Shadow Treasurer and Federal Member for Hume, Angus Taylor, welcomed the funding commitment, as a continuation of his support for Appin Scouts.
“Everyone in our community deserves access to safe and contemporary facilities that promote the wellbeing of young people,” Mr Taylor said.
“This much-needed upgrade will allow Appin Scouts to continue to grow and make valuable contributions to our community.”
This announcement builds upon previous investments, made by the former Coalition Government, which funded refurbishments at the Cataract Activity Centre and Scout Park.
Mr Taylor has been a strong supporter of the Scouts and was made an honorary member of the 1st Appin Scout Group in 2019.
This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to get Australia back on track.
