Meet Andrew

Andrew Constance is your local Liberal for Gilmore and has a proven track record of fighting and delivering for our community.

As your strong voice in Canberra, Andrew is determined to address the significant cost of living challenges facing our community, including rising energy costs, and ensure all is done to provide additional housing for our communities.

Andrew is passionate about securing better responses from Government to natural disasters after his community leadership during the 2019/20 Black Summer bushfires. This includes advocating for stronger resilience within communities, better land management practices, environmental protection and bushfire mitigation, improved mental health and wellbeing services and continued investment in infrastructure and housing.

As a former Local Member in the State Parliament, Andrew delivered:

• Upgrades to the Princes Highway and local roads and bridges;
• The duplication of the Princes Highway between Berry and Bomaderry;
• Albion Park bypass;
• Nowra Bridge;
• Batemans Bay Bridge;
• The new Southern Link Road at Batemans Bay; and
• Nelligen Bridge.

Andrew also secured the essential services such as schools and hospitals that we rely on, and was proud to be part of a Government that delivered:

• The new $260 million Eurobodalla Hospital;
• $438 million for the Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital upgrade;
• $700 million for the new Shellharbour Hospital; and
• A new TAFE Facility at Batemans Bay to support local job seekers.

With your support, Andrew will fight to support local jobs and businesses, address cost of living challenges including improving the supply and affordability of housing for both renters and home owners. Andrew will continue to build on his previous successes of delivering better roads, transport and health services that we as a growing community rely on.
