An elected Dutton Coalition Government has committed to delivering the expansion of the LIVVIng Room Modern Community Centre in Timbrell Park, Five Dock.
Liberal Candidate for Reid, Grange Chung, said this commitment will benefit locals of all ages and abilities seeking access to a more inclusive, modern community hub, right here in Reid.
"The local community has emphasised to me the impact that the upgrades, to the LIVVIng Room Modern Community Centre, will have on their lives,” Mr Chung said.
“This commitment will ensure that the growing number of locals, experiencing social isolation, each have access to a safe and supportive space to connect.
“This is what real community looks like – where no one is left behind and where each person’s potential can be fulfilled,” Mr Chung said.
Justine Perkins, Founder of the Touched by Olivia Foundation, said this essential expansion of Livvi’s CafĂ© will deliver a much needed, multi-use and cross-generational community hub.
Located at Timbrell Park, which already connects over 33 local groups, the LIVVIng Room will be a critical addition to our community and create a safe place to belong,” said Ms Perkins.
“I will always listen to and fight for the needs of our community,” Mr Chung added.
This commitment is part of the Coalition’s plan to strengthen our local communities and to get Australia back on track. To read more about our plan, visit nswliberal.org.au/our-plan
