Meet James

Shadow Minister for Industrial Relations, Shadow Minister for Government Procurement, Member for Hornsby
Having grown up in the Hornsby Shire, James is passionate about serving the community which has given him so much.
Prior to entering Parliament, James practised as a solicitor for almost a decade at a leading national law firm. He worked with major Australian companies in the technology, privacy and communications fields, and regularly provided his legal expertise for a range of pro bono causes.
Raising his young son Ben with his wife Sarah in the Hornsby Shire, James understands the challenges that many households face as house prices, rents, and cost-of-living pressures increase, while more strain is placed on the services we rely on.
Since his election to Parliament, James has fought to improve train services to make your commute faster, upgrades to local roads, and more support for our schools including better and more affordable after school care. James continues to stand up against Labor’s cuts to schools, hospitals, and cost-of-living support.
James serves as the Shadow Minister for Industrial Relations and Shadow Minister for Government Procurement. James advocates for better and higher paying wages now and in the long term for employees in the public sector and private business. He believes in fair and productive workplace. James understands that government procurement practices must deliver value for taxpayers, support for local businesses, and that make government more efficient, modern, and transparent.
James will continue to work to restore strong budget management, and ensure that union influence does not prevent New South Wales moving forward.
