Denham Court Public School has officially opened its doors today, a $56 million project and the latest from the State’s largest ever investment in public education infrastructure.

Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said South Western Sydney was benefitting from record government investment.

“South Western Sydney has received over $500 million of investment into new and upgraded schools since 2017,” Ms Mitchell said.

“The new $56 million Denham Court Public School is the first new school to welcome students since the lockdown, giving parents a state of the art place for their children to learn in.”

“The NSW Government is delivering hundreds of schools across the State though its historic $15 billion school building pipeline.”

The new school was designed to support the growing community and accommodate up to 940 students from Years K-6. The project includes 44 flexible learning spaces, a library, a multipurpose hall and canteen.

The school has also delivered a basketball court, several outdoor areas for students and kiss and drop off zones.
Member for Camden Peter Sidgreaves said he was delighted with the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government school infrastructure projects happening around his local area.

“The NSW Government is delivering for the families and students of the Camden electorate and I am thrilled to be here opening it with the Minister today,” Mr Sidgreaves said.

“This is the latest addition to public education infrastructure in this area, and there is more to come with work underway on new primary schools at Gregory Hills and Edmondson Park, a new high school in Edmondson Park and a new selective high school in Leppington.”

The NSW Government is investing $7.9 billion over the next four years, continuing its program to deliver 215 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW.
