An elected Dutton Liberal Government will commit $1.2 million for the construction of a modern and fit-for-purpose headquarters for the NSW SES St Georges Basin Unit.

Senator Andrew Bragg
Senator for New South Wales

Andrew Constance
Liberal Candidate for Gilmore

An elected Dutton Liberal Government will commit $1.2 million for the construction of a modern and fit-for-purpose headquarters for the NSW SES St Georges Basin Unit.

St Georges Basin SES has outgrown its current Tasman Street location and its new headquarters on The Wool Road will see the SES co-located with the new Rural Fire Service and Ambulance station.

Liberal candidate for Gilmore, Andrew Constance, said that the Shoalhaven relies heavily on the Unit and that the new headquarters will ultimately save lives and property when natural disasters strike the region.

“The reality is, without our local SES and their incredible members, the Shoalhaven would be less safe,” Mr Constance said.

“In a disaster, every minute counts, and I know that the new headquarters will equip our SES to respond best, when our community needs them the most.”

“I’m grateful to the Mayor, Patricia White, for her advocacy in support of this project and look forward to working with Shoalhaven City Council to getting the new facility up-and-running.”

Senator for New South Wales, Andrew Bragg, praised Andrew Constance for his support for the front-line services which are essential for South Coast communities.

“I know Andrew won’t stop fighting for the safety and livelihoods of all families in the Shoalhaven and this commitment is indicative of that,” Senator Bragg said.

This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to get Australia back on track.
