Liberals commit to Upper North Shore sports field upgrades
An elected Dutton Liberal Government will commit $1.4 million to deliver much needed upgrades at three sporting fields across Sydney’s Upper North Shore.

An elected Dutton Liberal Government will commit $1.4 million to deliver much needed upgrades at three sporting fields across Sydney’s Upper North Shore.
The commitment includes the following upgrades:
- $1,051,250 for women’s changerooms and amenities at Allan Small Oval in East Killara.
- $220,000 for resurfacing at Killara Bowling Club to permit multisport use.
- $200,000 for energy-efficient lighting at George Christie Playing Field in Wahroonga.
Liberal candidate for Bradfield, Gisele Kapterian, said that this commitment would ensure the Upper North Shore has access to high quality sporting facilities year-round.
“Our community and particularly our aspiring elite athletes deserve to have access to facilities that are safe and improve their playing experience,” Ms Kapterian.
“I have fought for this commitment because I know how important local sport is to the social fabric of the Upper North Shore.
“I will keep fighting to ensure that these projects are delivered and our community can benefit from these essential upgrades to our sports fields.”
Shadow Minister for Health and Aged Care and Shadow Minister for Sport, Senator the Hon Anne Ruston, said that the Liberals are focused on ensuring local kids and particularly young women have the facilities they need to play the sports they love.
“The only way to ensure that Bradfield has a seat at the table – and to see important local
projects delivered – is by electing Gisele Kapterian,” said Senator Ruston.
“Gisele has already demonstrated her preparedness to fight for needs of the Upper North Shore and has the professional experience to deliver if elected.”
This commitment is part of the Liberals plan to get Australia back on track.
