Meet Ray

Ray Williams is your Liberal Member for Kellyville

Following his re-election in March 2023 for a fifth term in the New South Wales Parliament, The Hon Ray Williams MP continues to serve as the Member for Kellyville.

Mr Williams previously served as Minister for Multiculturalism and Minister for Disability Services from January 2017 to March 2019, delivering increased investment in cultural diversity initiatives, targeted youth programs, and enhanced support for vulnerable communities. 

As Minister for Multiculturalism, he engaged extensively with community groups and supported initiatives promoting social cohesion.

As Minister for Disability Services, he oversaw the completion of New South Wales’ transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), a landmark social reform supporting more than 100,000 people with permanent disability across the state.

First elected to Parliament in 2007 after serving on The Hills Shire Council, Mr Williams has also held the roles of Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Roads and for Western Sydney. He began his career in the metal trades and transport industry, later operating a small business as a licensed thoroughbred trainer. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Development Planning and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Curtin University.

Ray is a husband, father and grandfather who strongly believes in the importance of families, and has dedicated his professional life to making his community and NSW a better place for everyone to work, live and thrive.
