Meet Robyn

Robyn Preston is your Member for Hawkesbury
Robyn grew up in Western Sydney and was raised by her Mother after her Father died suddenly. Robyn learned early about the value of a strong work ethic and families pulling together. As a mother of two, she has worked hard to help inspire her children to look beyond themselves and focus on contributing to the community.
Robyn’s extensive business career spans private, public and not-for-profit sectors, in various senior management, sales and marketing roles, as well as running her own small business. She was also Australia’s first female rugby league commercial television commentator.
Through her work, Robyn has learned about the Hawkesbury community’s concerns, such as the daily cost of living pressures, housing affordability and the need to support more local jobs. She has always been eager to help people and as a local government Councillor she successfully advocated for a myriad of community needs, including the delivery of more housing choices and better support for vulnerable people.
Robyn genuinely understands that young people are locked out of the housing market. Their aspiration for home ownership is slipping away under a Minns Labor Government. After promising to tackle the housing crisis, Labor is disappointingly 40% behind their own housing targets.
The new Metro that links commuters to the new Western Sydney International Airport won’t be completed until December 2027, at the earliest. Robyn knows that this is not good enough and does not believe that the people of Hawkesbury and NSW should be punished for Labor’s inability to deliver key infrastructure on time.
Robyn believes that Hawkesbury is an amazing region and she wants to assist in delivering even more for the community with better roads, completion of major infrastructure projects such as the new Richmond Bridge and the Pitt Town Bypass, more support for veterans, championing small businesses and tackling the cost of living across Hawkesbury.
Robyn will work hard to help ensure that Hawkesbury gets the health, aged care and respite services that the community needs, whilst respecting the region’s local character.
