The Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) has today revealed that Labor have cut more than $2 billion from Western Sydney’s WestInvest fund, which is already fully announced and allocated by the Perrottet Liberal Government.

The Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) has today revealed that Labor have cut more than $2 billion from Western Sydney’s WestInvest fund, which is already fully announced and allocated by the Perrottet Liberal Government.

This means Labor is canceling community, council or government projects that are already underway for the people of Parramatta.

Liberal candidate for Parramatta, Katie Mullens, said the people of Parramatta cannot trust Chris Minns, Donna Davis and Labor.

“Labor has lost faith in the electorate of Parramatta,” Ms Mullens said.

“Chris Minns and Donna Davis need to explain to the people of Parramatta why they are scrapping two new pedestrian and cycling bridges in Parramatta Park that makes it easier than ever to walk or ride between Parramatta Park and the Parramatta CBD, Commbank Stadium and Westmead Health Precinct.

“Labor has no plans of preserving Parramatta’s heritage, cutting funding for the restoration work on the historic Wisteria Gardens and Glengarriff House.

“Voters in Parramatta will be devastated to learn that Labor is cutting funding for the Transformation of the Roxy Theatre into an arts and culture venue.

“Labor is scrapping the infrastructure and projects that the people of Parramatta want and need.

“Parramatta can only continue to move forward under the Perrottet Liberal Government because we have a long term plan to tackle the economic challenges and continue to build for the future.

“Chris Minns, Donna Davis and Labor don’t care for the people of Western Sydney.”

In addition to Parramatta, Labor is also cutting WestInvest projects in Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Burwood, Camden, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, Penrith, The Hills, Strathfield and Wollondilly.
