Small businessman Brad Cole has been endorsed as the Liberal candidate for Kingsford Smith, vowing to campaign for a stronger economy and a safer community.
Small businessman Brad Cole has been endorsed as the Liberal candidate for Kingsford Smith, vowing to campaign for a stronger economy and a safer community.
Brad Cole is an accomplished insurance and risk professional, running his own small business. He has worked across both government and the private sector and has a wealth of experience in delivering outcomes. Brad is passionate about serving his community and volunteers as a surf lifesaver and with the Rotary Club.
“As I see household budgets decimated by Labor’s cost of living crisis, with families watching their rents, mortgages, food, petrol and energy costs going up and up, I couldn’t just sit back on the sidelines – I had to put my hand up and campaign for a Liberal government that will tame Labor’s inflation,” said Mr Cole.
“While every other major advanced economy has seen greater declines in core inflation and getting rate cuts, Australians have been saddled with average price rises of 10 per cent. Whether its health, education or insurance, Australians are paying more under Labor and we need to get our economy back on track.”
“An average household is having to find an extra $24,000 a year for their mortgage repayments. Renters have been experiencing the highest increases since 2009. We cannot afford another three years of Labor.”
Mr Cole said he will be campaigning for a better future for small business who are struggling to survive the current economic conditions, with a Government that is not focused on their needs.
“I will be also fighting to get more help for our first homebuyers, who are seeing the dream of home ownership get further and further away from their grasp. In addition to the $5 billion that a Liberal government would invest in shovel-ready infrastructure to help deliver up to half a million new homes, I am excited to campaign for our policy of giving young home buyers access to their super for a deposit on their first home.”
