Liberal Candidate for Wentworth
An elected Dutton Liberal Government has committed another $2.5 million to upgrade sporting facilities in Syndey’s Eastern Suburbs.
This commitment includes $1.5 million for the development of the eastern grandstand at Andrew Petrie Oval – home of Easts Rugby – and will add hundreds of additional seats as well as increase equipment storage capacity.
This commitment also includes $1 million for the development of a youth recreation zone at Moore Park Golf Course which will include half courts, futsal courts, a skate area, a pump track and a riding zone.
Liberal candidate for Wentworth, Ro Knox, said locals – from the young through to elite competitors – deserve to have access to top class sporting facilities.
“Committing to these important projects in the East will only promote participation in an active lifestyle and bring our community together.
“I would like to thank the local community and clubs for their advocacy.”
Shadow Minister for Health and Aged Care and Shadow Minister for Sport, Senator the Hon Anne Ruston, said Labor has found it too easy to take electorates like Wentworth for granted.
“The only way to ensure that Wentworth has a seat at the table – and to see important local projects delivered – is by electing Ro Knox,” said Senator Ruston.
“Ro has already demonstrated her preparedness to fight for needs of the Eastern Suburbs and has the professional experience to deliver if elected.”
This commitment is part of our plan to get Australia back on track.
