An elected Dutton Liberal Government will provide $500,000 from a revitalised Safer Communities Fund (SCF) to deliver security camera upgrades in the Parramatta CBD.
Liberal candidate for Parramatta, Katie Mullens, said this commitment would help ensure Parramatta locals and commuters can feel and be safer as they go about their daily lives.
“Whether you’re commuting or enjoying a night out – you should feel and be safe in the Parramatta CBD,” Ms Mullens said.
“This commitment will also enhance the Parramatta CBD’s 24-hour economy and bring business to those who make Parramatta the best place to eat, shop and catch up with friends around the clock.”
Shadow Minister for Home Affairs and Shadow Minister for Cyber Security, Senator James Paterson, said under a Dutton Liberal Government, Parramatta will be stronger, more secure, and better supported to tackle crime.
“Getting Australia back on track means keeping Australia safe – safe for families, safe for businesses, and safe for communities,” Senator Paterson said.
Shadow Minister for Communications and Shadow Minister for Western Sydney, Melissa McIntosh, said locals and Western Sydney locals deserve to feel and be safe in the Parramatta CBD.
“Katie has listened to her community and will ensure a safer Parramatta for all,” said Mrs McIntosh.
