Liberals commit to local park upgrades

A Dutton Liberal Government will commit $2,586,487 for local park and sporting facility upgrades across Hughes, including at:
Macquarie Fields Park - $1,000,000 to construct changerooms for women, kiosk space, storage and meeting spaces, public amenities and covered seating areas for spectators.
Hallinan Park Event Hub in Ingleburn - $750,000 for construction of an architectural stage, resurfacing of playspace equipment and a plaza-style tree planting and seating area.
Lieutenant Cantello Reserve in Hammondville - $500,000 for the design, construction of bike pump track.
Macquarie Fields Fitness and Indoor Sports Centre - $100,000 for the replacement of roller doors.
CamPLAYtown at Childs Reserve in Glenfield - $101,487 for playspace upgrades to ensure access for all ages and abilities.
Hazlett Reserve in Ingleburn - $95,000 to deliver a new all-abilities playspace
Woronora Heights Oval - $20,000 to upgrade women’s amenities with privacy screens and doors for Bosco Football Club.
Macquarie Road Reserve in Macquarie Fields - $20,000 to replace timber fencing.
Federal Member for Hughes, Jenny Ware MP, said local parks, playgrounds and sporting facilities are not just places to play – they’re places which bring our communities together.
“These upgrades will give local families the quality public spaces they deserve, supporting active lifestyles and social connection across southern Sydney,” Mrs Ware said
This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to get Australia back on track.
