An elected Dutton Liberal Government will commit $250,000 to upgrade amenities at St Leonards Park in North Sydney.
As one of North Sydney's largest and best-loved parks, St Leonards Park is rich in history and contains the community’s premier sportsground, North Sydney Oval.
The upgrade will see the upgrade of the existing amenities block which has reached the end of its usable life.
Liberal candidate for Warringah, Jaimee Rogers, said this upgrade would deliver much-needed improvements to a park much-loved by North Sydney locals.
“St Leonards Park plays host to key community events centred on the ANZAC War Memorial, the Music Shell and the Tunks Fountain, as well as family picnics.”
“It is only right that locals have access to amenities which can accommodate the frequency and calibre of events and visitors to St Leonards Park.”
“This upgrade will ensure that local families feel even more welcome, comfortable and safe at this beautiful park in the heart of North Sydney.”
Shadow Minister for Environment and Shadow Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, Senator the Hon Jonathon Duniam, welcomed the announcement and commended Jaimee Rogers for her commitment to practical improvements which will make a difference for North Sydney locals.”
“I know how hard Jaimee has worked to ensure North Sydney has the amenities and local leadership that North Sydney families need and expect,” Senator Duniam said.
This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to get Australia back on track.
