LUKE “FIBBING” FOLEY LIES TO FARMERS

25 July 2018

Opposition Leader Luke Foley has enjoyed way too much fudge at today’s gathering of NSW Farmers, blatantly lying about the government’s regional road budget spend.

Addressing delegates from NSW Farmers Association, Mr. Foley wrongly claimed the government is committed to investing 15 per cent of its road budget to regional NSW. A true Foley fudge!

In this year’s state’s budget, the Liberals & Nationals Government has committed more the 50 per cent of its Roads, Maritime and Freight budget to regional areas.

Minister for Roads Maritime and Freight Melinda Pavey says Luke Foley would not know the first thing about regional NSW.

“Instead of helping farmers feed their stock, he’s simply feeding them lies,” Mrs Pavey said.

“I know the people gathered there don’t believe Foley’s lies and promises, because they see in their towns, the endless work this NSW Liberals & Nationals Government is delivering including the $130 million to fully seal the Cobb and Silver City Highways.”

“I encourage Luke Foley to get out of Sydney and visit the strong vibrant towns across regional NSW and see the work we’re doing and listen to these farmers instead of just lying to them,” Mrs Pavey said.
