NSW GOVERNMENT KEEPS GLASS HALF FULL FOR INDEPENDENT BREWERS
- NSW will ease further restrictions from Saturday, 13 June, with food courts allowed to reopen, the number of people allowed to visit homes increased from 5 to 20, and the number of people allowed to gather outdoors increased from 10 to 20.
- Premier Gladys Berejiklian said these changes are another step towards seeing NSW reopen in a COVID-safe way.
NSW GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES COVID SAFE CHECK FOR BUSINESSES
- Businesses will be able to check, test and promote their COVID Safe credentials with the launch of the NSW Government’s online COVID Safe Check.
- Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello said the online tool would help businesses get back to work safely.
- The COVID Safe Check will go live and will be available at www.nsw.gov.au
NSW GOVERNMENT’S BUSHFIRE SUPPORT HITS $2.3 BILLION AS 2500th PROPERTY CLEARED
- The NSW Government’s unprecedented bushfire support has hit $2.3 billion in funding, as the bushfire clean-up program progresses at lightning speed with 2500 destroyed properties cleared so far, at zero cost to property owners.

SCHOOL-BASED ACTIVITIES FURTHER RELAXED
- The NSW Government has announced a staged resumption of school activities, including a return to school sports from Term 3.
- Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning Sarah Mitchell said NSW schools continue to be safe and operations are in line with NSW Health guidelines.

HUGE NEW JOBS PRECINCT UNLOCKED IN WESTERN SYDNEY
- Plans for a major industrial precinct on the doorstep of the new Western Sydney Airport have been approved by the NSW Government, paving the way for a significant boost to jobs and investment in the region.
- Approval of the $2.6 billion Mamre Road Precinct, one of 12 key precincts in the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, will unlock 850 hectares of new industrial land and see the creation of new public spaces and conservation areas.
- The NSW Government’s ambitious plan to create a modern day native fish Noah’s Ark has come to fruition with more than two million new fingerlings, including the iconic Murray Cod, expected to be released into the State’s waterways this summer.
- As part of the NSW Government’s Fish Rescue Strategy, more than 5,000 fish from all corners of the State have been relocated to safe locations within both public and private hatcheries and sections of river that had long-term water security.
NEW DATE SET FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS
- The NSW Government announced that the local government elections will be held on Saturday, 4 September 2021.
- It follows the decision to postpone the September 2020 council elections for 12 months because of the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the health and safety of candidates, voters and NSW Electoral Commission staff.
MAJOR BOOST FOR THE SYDNEY LIGHT RAIL NETWORK
- Commuters will benefit from a faster travel time and more space on Sydney Light Rail, with more than 810 extra services added to the L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines.
- There are now an additional 518 services a week, on top of the 294 services added on 18 May. Service frequency has also increased with services around every 4 minutes between Circular Quay and Moore Park and around every 8 minutes in the South East, between 7am – 7pm weekdays.

$27.3M TO SUPPORT LOCAL SPORT RETURN
- With community sport and recreation activities returning as COVID-19 restrictions ease, the NSW Government announced a Community Sport Recovery Package to support the sector get back on its feet.
- The $27.3 million recovery package includes financial support and assistance for sport and recreation organisations across NSW.

TELESTROKE SERVICE REACHES REGIONAL PATIENTS
- Regional and rural patients now have access to 24-hour critical care under a $21.7 million telestroke service being rolled out across NSW.
- Patients at Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour hospitals are the first to benefit from the NSW Telestroke Service, based at Sydney’s Prince of Wales Hospital.
NSW GOVERNMENT KEEPS GLASS HALF FULL FOR INDEPENDENT BREWERS
- Independent brewers hit by drought, bushfire and COVID-19 will benefit from a special support package to help weather the next 12 months.
- Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW, Industry and Trade John Barilaro announced funding of $135,000 to provide resources and support to the industry through the Independent Brewers Association.
