Statement from the State President
Vale Hon Andrew Peacock AC GCL
Andrew was a great servant of the Liberal Party, from a young age to his final days, and his dedication and talent have left an indelible mark on the Party and all of us who knew him.
We owe a great debt to his outstanding campaign skills and policy nous, and his many contributions as the Minister for the Army, Territories, Industrial Relations, Industry, and Foreign Affairs – and his great work in helping to usher Papua New Guinea’s independence remains an incredible lasting legacy.
I will always be indebted to Andrew for his tireless campaigning in my first election and helping me to become a Member of Parliament, and for appointing me to my first shadow ministerial portfolio.
On behalf of the NSW Division, I offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
