Meet Wendy

Wendy Tuckerman is your Liberal Member for Goulburn
Wendy Tuckerman is the Liberal Member for Goulburn, first elected in 2019 to represent the diverse and historic communities stretching along the Hume Highway from Southern Highlands to the Canberra border, including major regional centres of Goulburn, Moss Vale, Yass, Crookwell, and the surrounding villages and localities with many rural producers in between.
Wendy began her career as an investigator with the Australian Federal Police before moving to Boorowa in 1997 to raise her family. Her passion for community service led her to local government, where she was elected to Boorowa Council in 2004 and became the first female Mayor in 2007. She served in that role for nine years before being appointed Administrator of the newly formed Hilltops Council in 2016, later returning as an elected Councillor in 2017.
With decades of experience in local government and community advocacy, Wendy has built a strong reputation as a representative who listens, acts and delivers. She has worked tirelessly to secure critical investments across the region, including the $165 million Goulburn Hospital Redevelopment, Stage 1 of the Yass Water Treatment Plant Upgrade, and major upgrades for the Goulburn and Crookwell Aquatic Centres. Wendy has also championed community and emergency services infrastructure such as the Wingecarribee Animal Shelter and the State Emergency Service Unit Headquarters in Moss Vale, Goulburn and Yass Ambulance Stations and Moss Vale Fire Station - ensuring frontline and community organisations have the facilities they need.
She is deeply committed to securing the infrastructure, services and opportunities that regional and rural communities deserve - particularly in health, education, connectivity, water security, emergency services and economic development. Wendy is passionate about harnessing the strength, resilience and potential of regional New South Wales. She understands the challenges faced by farmers, small businesses and families across the electorate, and works tirelessly to ensure they have the support, investment and representation they need to thrive.
Grounded in her belief that politics is about people and community, Wendy continues to champion local voices and real outcomes. She is proud to serve the Goulburn electorate and remains dedicated to building stronger, more vibrant and more sustainable communities for current and future generations.
